The latest-issued Chinese version of the Fortune magazine has published the "most valuable brands in China." Five domestic brands are enumerated among the top 25 most valuable brands on the list. Chinese brand Lenovo has jumped from No. 19 last year to No. 14 this year, making the fastest progress among Chinese brands. China's Haier leads the domestic brands and Chinese brewery giant Tsingtao Beer appears on the list for the first time in history.

The top 25 most valuable brands in China are, BMW, Microsoft, Intel, Mercedes-Benz, Coca-Cola, IBM, Haier, Nokia, Wuliangye, Maotai, Air Bus, Porsche, Audi, Lenovo, Motorola, Walmart, Boeing, Google, Tongrentang, Tsingtao Beer, Pepsi-Cola, Siemens, Sony, Nike, and GM.

The magazine says that after purchasing IBM's PC business, the managing staff of the Lenovo group is now facing the problem of how to integrate the brand name and gain investment returns from its overseas market. For the Haier company, it has done a good job in upgrading its brand name by expanding its overseas sales market. Another domestic brand, Tsingtao Beer, has become a well-known brand in the international market due to its mature operational business strategy on brand promotion.

Compared with these well-known traditional brands, some new names appearing on the list have more outstanding performances. World search engine giant Google (ranking No. 18 on the list) has a Chinese name this year, Gu Ge (harvest song), which shows that the world search engine giant is trying to take a foothold in the Chinese market. Google's rival in China is a domestic company Baidu. Walmart (ranking No. 16) enters the list for the first time in three years as a retail sales company, which shows that retail brand can compete with other brands that sell consumption goods. Walmart has gained consumers' loyalty to its brand name as the retailer has worked hard to guarantee the quality of its brand name.
