Applications open for brand awards

Updated: 2006-06-14 06:54 Applications for the 2006 Hong Kong Top Brand Awards and Hong Kong Top Service Brand Awards may now be submitted and the last date has been set on August 31. Jointly organized by the Hong Kong Brand Development Council and the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, the contests are aimed at promoting local products and services of good quality. The Hong Kong Top Brand Awards (formerly known as the Top 10 Brand Names Award) was founded in 1999, while the Hong Kong Top Service Brand Awards was launched in 2005. For this year's competition, the rule has been slightly amended to enable the judges to assess more objectively the products aiming at single markets only. For the Hong Kong Top Service Brand Awards, the rule has been relaxed so that all service providers (with the exception of those providing sensitive activities) including non-profit making organizations, will be allowed to join.
