Man comes to view prison as quite a good deal

A habitual offender from Jiangxi Province who spent almost half his life in prison seems to be getting addicted to living in cells, and repeatedly stole police motorcycles with a wish to be jailed again.

Zhen, in his 50s, was first put into prison for stealing at the age of 24, and since then he has been in prison for a total of 22 years and six months for frequent misdeeds. He committed 16 thefts and robberies, including stealing seven police motorcycles, after he was released from prison in May. By the end of July, police had caught Zhen again - this time for stealing ducks.

It was said that Zhen had once revealed to a fellow villager that sometimes he did misdeeds deliberately in a bid to enjoy prison's free accommodations .
