"Beating, smashing, looting and arson as well as killing are not allowed in accordance with Buddhism," said Mongolian netizen Bilig in an entry he published on CRI's website. "It showed that Dalai did not have a heart of goodness and mercy."

CRI's Moroccan listener Amali Omar said: "I have discussed the Lhasa riot with my friends a few days ago. We thought that it was a serious violation of the human rights of people of all ethnic groups in Tibet."

Omar said the "non-violence" concept advocated by the Dalai was shattered in light of the facts of the killing of innocent civilians in Lhasa.

An Iranian listener who identified himself as Hasan said: "I think it desecrated the principle of accuracy of news reporting that some western media made distorted reports on the Lhasa riot."

Myanmar listener Soe Win Myint said: "I think Chinese media's reporting about Tibet is fair and square. Those western media, which carried false reports destroyed their own images."

Pakistan listener Jameel Amir said: "I quite support the Chinese government's stand towards the March 14 event, and I think it is appropriate for China to take measures to control the situation."
