Beijing International Tourism Festival kicks off

Artists walk past the Bird's Nest before the opening ceremony of the 11th Beijing International Tourism Festival at the Olympic Park, Beijing, October 23. 2009. Nearly 3,000 artists from more than 70 countries will participate in the festival, which will be held from October 23 to 25. To get the event started with a bang, international drummers along with Chinese drum artists perform together at the opening ceremony.
