Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region expects to consolidate its cultural competitiveness and enhance local brands during its five-day show at the Shanghai Expo.

Earlier this year, more than 20 private entrepreneurs in Guangxi expressed their strong views to the local government about how to take advantage of Guangxi Week at the Expo to promote local creative and performing industries and brands.
In line with the Guangxi Pavilion's theme of "Green Home, Blue Dream", its Expo week theatrical performances from August 2 to 6 have been titled "Magnificent Guangxi, Habitat Heaven".
It will stage four performances representing the region twice a day, said Lu Hao, general director of the performances:
"Sound of Guangxi" outdoor parade
From 9:20 to 10:20 am and 3 to 4 pm each day, the parade will travel 1.8 kilometers across the World Expo Axis.
"Joy of Guangxi" outdoor performance
From 10:50 to 11:30 am and 7 to 8 pm at the Expo Axis Square every day during the week.
Baosteel small stage show "Folk Guangxi"
The organizer will set up dozens of booths displaying folk performing arts from 11:00 to 11:45 am and 2:30 to 3:15 pm each day at the Expo Baosteel Theatre.
Baosteel big stage show "Magnificent in Guangxi"
Performed from 12:50 to 1:50 pm and 3 to 4 pm each day at the Expo Baosteel Theatre, when actors entertain the audience with folk songs, acrobatics and dances.
