Some said that the film is a Chinese version of Cinema Paradiso.
This film tells a story about how an infertile widow raises her adoptive daughter to become a dancer. The leading lady, Degui's wife, devotes all her love to her adoptive children Xianxian, who finally fulfills her dream of becoming a ballet dancer. Her great love not only moves Xianxian, but also touches the viewer's heart.
