Pierre Cardin recently showed its 2017 spring/summer collection in Baiyin in Northwest China's Gansu province. The collection maintained the brand's signature geometric patterns and flower motifs, highlighting bright colors. The brand's children's wear line also made its debut in China.

Dashilar community building renovated

As part of the annual Beijing Design Week in early October, the Dashilar community unveiled the newly renovated Quanyechang building as a center for the traditional hutong area. The area has been undergoing renovation for the past five years, regenerating local culture with innovative design.

Fashion styling awards presented

The China Fashion Styling award ceremony was held in Beijing recently. Initiated by makeup artist Yue Xiaolin, the event saw awards presented to a dozen young makeup artists and stylists selected from more than 150 contestants.
