The three books, however, offer readers sense of the spiritual appeal of Chinese culture, which can help people deal with anxiety and depression in a fast-paced world.

"This is one of the reasons why we are releasing these books (Lunar Calendar and Eternal Nostalgia) simultaneously this autumn,” says Yin Zhiyong, the director of Changjiang Literature and Art Press.

Speaking about Lunar Calendar, Yin says: “Guo once said that he hoped to write a book which could be recommended to parents by their children and by children to their parents. When editing the book, I could feel the effort of the writer.”

Referring to Eternal Nostalgia, an editor of the book says: “Once you step into Guo’s work, you experience an ambience of peace and are relaxed both mentally and physically.”

When it comes to Wake Up, Zhu Anshun, the director of Zhonghua Book Company’s Classics Education Promotion Center, says "Guo’s book helps the Chinese rebuild their inner world, and he is a local literateur whose writing is like boots on the ground."

The book is about Guo’s experiences while looking for peace, and it’s an advanced version of Look For Peace.
