Gambler pays ultimate price

The Second Intermediate Court has sentenced a man to death for the murder of
his ex-wife, whom he stabbed 20 times in the chest, abdomen and back last
December.
An autopsy revealed that the woman's lungs and liver had been punctured in
the attack. She died of excessive blood loss on the way to hospital.
After Cui Yun, the husband, lost all of his money gambling, he asked He, his
ex-wife, who lived with their son, for more. When she refused, he attacked and
killed her.
The couple had been paid a subsidy for the demolition of the house they had
shared before their divorce.
Cui wanted He's part of the subsidy to pay off his gambling
debts.
