Touts still enjoy brisk business

Hundreds of touts continue to
operate in the Xiangyang Road Market, a place famous for its collection of
trendy clothes and accessories at reasonable prices, in spite of attempts from
the urban administration departments to keep them out, reports Oriental Morning
Post.
The touts lead customers to certain illegal shops selling "smuggled brand
name products". If a transaction takes place, the touts earn a percentage of the
sale.
Touts were banished from the market after it was renovated earlier this year.
However, most of them continue to do business covertly.
