Embellished law ads banned

Misleading advertisements for lawsuit services that claim to charge a client
no money if the case is not won are to be banned from the print media, reports
Beijing Times.
The municipal association of lawyers said some improper ads had been
appearing in local newspapers, guaranteeing full repayment of expenses if a case
was lost. Any ad that implies that a law firm or lawyer has some connection to
the courts is also in violation of industry rules. And lawyers may not advertise
in the media as individuals, the association said.
