Economical tenants share beds

Bed-sharing has become popular with tenants wanting to save money, reports
Youth Daily.
Cui, a 24-year-old woman from Harbin in Northeast China's Heilongjiang
Province, said that when her financial situation permitted, she would rent an
apartment. But for now, she feels sharing a bed makes more financial sense.
Another woman surnamed He said she thought of bed only as a place to sleep
and that sharing a bed with someone else could help her save a great deal of
money. But He insisted she would not share a bed with a total stranger.
Sociologists said the phenomenon shows that people are more concerned with
work and making money than quality of life. But they warned that such a practice
could encourage stealing or swindling, even among friends.
