Daredevils' theft scheme thwarted

Six bold thieves, who used cranes to try to steal an 80,000-yuan (US$9,638)
transformer situated at the entrance to a private company in broad daylight,
were caught on the spot last week, reports Shenzhen Special Zone Daily.
The six men drove two cranes to the company in Shenzhen's Shiyan Town at
about 1 pm.
They had just cut the power lines attached to the transformer and were about
to remove it when the company's security guards rushed to the scene and stopped
them.
The men are in police custody.
