International Cultural Exchanges

International cultural exchanges have been in full swing. Statistics of 1999
to 2001 showed that the province conducted 460 cultural exchange projects with
Hong Kong and Macao as well as with foreign countries and regions.
Art of elegant and graceful style has been the dominant feature of artistic
introduction from abroad.
Meanwhile, a colorful range of culture and art from Zhejiang has also entered
the international cultural market, with good prospects in tapping the overseas
market.
The media in the province including the printed matters, radio and TV
institutions have been active in the cooperation with their counterparts outside
China.
Meanwhile, exchanges in education, science and technology have been on the
increase. Universities and colleges in the province have cemented friendly ties
with 216 counterparts in 31 countries and regions as well as with international
organizations.
