Educated couple match wits

Husband and wife Qian and
Ding, both of whom have master's degrees, did their best to outsmart each other
when they decided to divorce, Shanghai Morning Post reports.
The two married five years ago but as neither of them was interested in
running the household, they decided to go their separate ways earlier this year.
Qian thought she should receive 100,000 yuan (US$12,000) of the pair's
140,000 yuan (US$16,800) in assets because of her higher salary, while Ding
insisted that the property be halved. Seeing no way to resolve the dispute, Qian
left home for a month taking most of the bank books with her. When she returned,
she claimed she had spent all the money.
But she was surprised to learn that Ding had made copies of all the bank
books before she left. The remaining property was then divided evenly because
Qian could not produce receipts for her expenses as required by the
court.
