Fear of food lasts 7 months

Thanks to counselling, a man
has finally recovered from his curious illness - for more than seven months he
was unable to keep any food down, even though nothing was physically wrong with
him, reports Chengdu Business News.
The 38-year-old Li felt sick and vomited after eating lunch on February 22.
But instead of feeling better, the same thing occurred every three to five days
whenever he ate after the incident.
Li eventually developed a fear of eating. Even words associated with food or
eating, such as "meal" or "vegetable" would cause him to vomit.
Doctors could not identify the problem, and the situation continued to
worsen.
Li then sought help from the psychological health centre at Huaxi Hospital,
which diagnosed Li as suffering from a form of depressive
anxiety.
