Furious student jumps from third floor

A girl jumped from a third-storey classroom following an altercation with her
teacher on Friday, Guizhou Metropolis News reports.
Hu Li in Guiyang, who attends Pu An No 2 Middle School, quarrelled with her
teacher, Zhou Xuegui, who had scolded Hu in public and blew a candle out over
her head in front of her classmates.
When Zhou asked Hu to stay after class, the girl ran to the window and jumped
out. She sustained serious injuries in the fall.
The school appropriated 1,000 yuan (US$120) for Hu's medical treatment, but
her life is still in danger. The accident is now under
investigation.
