Abusive man cuts, scalds wife's face

A migrant worker surnamed Sun
has been arrested for disfiguring his wife's face on National Day, Shanghai
Evening Post reports.
Sun, 25, first came to Shanghai 10 years ago to work. He has one daughter
with his wife, Zhai.
But Sun regularly abused his wife. Zhai eventually moved into a dormitory
with some other workers from her hometown and planned to divorce Sun.
On the night of October 1, Sun went to Zhai's place asking to make up with
the woman in the presence of three of Zhai's relatives.
When Zhai refused, Sun slashed Zhai's face with a knife and poured a bottle
of hot water over her head.
