Woman gets 1,000 yuan for scalding by iron

A woman who was scaled by an electric iron at a shopping centre on Monday in
Guangzhou was paid compensation of 1,000 yuan (US$120), reports Southern
Metropolis News.
The accident happened when Wang was at a shopping centre in Haizhu District
with her friends - an employee demonstrating the use of the iron accidentally
brushed it against her.
With the mediation of the local consumers' council, Wang decided to accept
the payment and give up plans to sue.
