Wrong surgery causes spread of cancer ( 2004-02-09 14:47) (China Daily)
A patient with a tumour in his left groin was operated on the right groin, Jiefang Daily reports. Huang, from East China's Zhejiang Province, said the cancer spread to his lungs after the botched surgery. A court has ordered the hospital to pay Huang 47,000 yuan (US$5,683) for the malpractice and mental trauma.
