US medicine giant to build production base in Hunan

The U.S. medicine giant Wellcome International Group plans to build a
large-scale modern production base in Liuyang Biomedical Park, located in
central-south China's Hunan Province, local government source said on Friday.
The base, to occupy a total area of about 250,000 square meters,is expected
to become a landmark in the park when completed, according to a local government
source.
Subordinated to the U.S. Conagra International Group, one of the world top
500 transnational companies, Wellcome has its tonic products sold in more than
30 countries and regions worldwide withan annual output value of two billion
U.S. dollars.
The source said Wellcome will invest 20 million U.S. dollars in establishing
the base, the first exclusive tonic maker in the medical park.
