[CCTV:] Last year, the country began to carry out value-added tax reforms in Chagnchun, and how is the reform progressing today? We know photoelectron and automobile are the pillar industries in Changchun, what favorable measures will be taken to boost their development?
[Mr Mayor:] As to the preferential treatment, the nation’s favorable measures were meant to boost the growth of economic development zones. There are two measures offered to the development zones: the first is for foreign-funded enterprises, for example, a 15% in value-added taxes, and the income tax is exempted from the year of profitability for two years and deducted for the next three years. Of course, the unified tax system is also on the agenda of the country. Besides, in the high-tech development zones, a 15% preferential tax treatment will be granted, not only to state-owned enterprises, but also to joint-venture enterprises.
