The first of Chinese solar terms, the Beginning of Spring, which falls on February 3-5, will be missing in the coming "Tiger year" of lunar calendar from February 14, 2010 to February 2, 2011. Astronomers attribute it to the parallel of both lunar and solar calendars, rather than any other reason. Many people were incorrectly superstitious and refused to hold festivities like weddings, moving home, the construction of buildings and setting up firms. |
