Latin singer Shakira has knocked Canadian singer Nelly Furtado off the number 1 spot in the UK singles chart with her new song 'Hips Don't Lie'.
Shakira, along with Wyclef Jean who features in the song have relegated Furtado to second place with her track 'Maneater'.
The Pussycat Dolls are at number 3 with their song 'Buttons' and Sandi Thom's insipid track 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker' has been knocked down to fourth place. Lily Allen's debut single 'Smile' entered the chart at number 11, despite only being available as a download thus far.
In other Shakira news, Hollywood news are also claiming that the booty shaker could be performing at the World Cup final in Germany…watch this space for more news.(source:Entertainmentwise)
