Actress Penelope Cruz has revealed her obsession for karaoke parties that she throws for her friends.

The Oscar nominees said that though guests at her party are quite inhibited by the idea at first, they later land up fighting for the chance to grab the microphone.

"I have a machine at home. Sometimes I do karaoke parties: everyone arrives saying they're not going to sing, but everybody sings. They all say, 'I'm too cool for karaoke,' and then they are fighting for the microphone, Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

Meanwhile, the actress recently denied reports that she had a panic attack on board a flight from Newark to Barcelona, as a result of which the flight was delayed by an hour and 40 minutes.

The rep said that when the Oscar nominee was informed that the flight would be delayed by four hours, she decided to disembark.
