The 4th China International Occupational Safety&Health Exhibition Closed Successfully

The 4-day event, 4th China International Occupational Safety & Health Exhibition (COS+H 2008), the largest in Asia-Pacific area, was concluded successfully in the New Hall of China National Agricultural Exhibition Center, Beijing on Nov. 20, 2008. More than 12,000 trade visitors and buyers from the world were attracted.
Trade Show with Unprecedented Scale and Renowned Exhibitors
Boasting an expanded exhibition area of 13,000m2, this fair attracted over 200 producers and research institutions concerning occupational safety & health from 20 countries and regions, involving China, America, Germany, France, Japan, Korea, Australia, Chinese Hongkong and Taiwan. Over 45% exhibitors were international famous companies, including Sperian, Honeywell, North, 3M China, Mine Safety Appliances (MSA), RAE, Industrial Scientific, UVEX, Fortune Draeger, Dupont China, Delta, Aegle, Ansell, TEIJIN, SeongAn, Swelock Asia, Lanhua International, Yihe Stock Co., Ltd., Hehu Protective Equipment Co., Ltd., Shanghai JZC Enterprise, Jon Long Safetywear Co., Ltd., OSH China, Beijing Shengbao Hengtai Safetech Co., Ltd. and Beijing Sinotechton Technology Co., Ltd., etc.
This exhibition focused on the display of the achievements in the world occupational safety field, covering the new products, technologies, equipments and concepts for safety & health, detection, mine safety, special equipment protection, emergency rescue, individual protection, occupational safety training, fire prevention, environmental protection, and occupational safety. It was remarkable that Sperian, 3M China and MSA, the leading companies in global safety protection field, presented at this event to showcase their advanced equipments and technologies. Besides, Honeywell , the world automation control and safety protection leader was also staged on this event firstly as Honeywell Life Safety Protection Group after its successfully taking over the North, and laid out its technologies and sophisticated products in its spacious exhibition area. Furthermore, Castell, the subsidiary of Halma, showed on COSH for the first time and revealed its core products like key interlocking device, QuadCam 3D photography safety system.
Innumerable Trade Visitors with Plentiful Gain
16,600 visitors times were attracted to this event. The related officials from every provincial Administration of Work Safety, Coal Mine Safety Supervision Organization and the central government companies, which were led by the Sate Administration of Work Safety, visited this exhibition. Moreover, the visitor groups organized by overseas companies or countries such as Panasonic China, Beijing Benz-Daimlerchrysler Automotive Co., Ltd., Korea, etc, also attended this show. Meanwhile, more than 40 domestic organizations and large companies made their appearance on this fair, such as Tianjin Binhai New Area, China National Seed Group Corp, Shenzhen Yantian Port Group Company, China Railway Communication Signal Group Corp, China Gezhouba (Group) Corporation, China Aerospace Science & Industry Corp, Kailuan Group and Jiangxi Provincial Nuclear Industrial Geological Bureau. Both the exhibitors and visitors concluded unanimously that such an exhibition was a wonderful platform to promote the communication and cooperation between China and the world on the occupational safety & health field, because it catered for the expanded demand of people for safety & peace, and living & health in 21st century.
Concurrent Forum & Seminar Provided the Platform for Technology Communication
The event with various trade forums and seminars was a platform not only for trade exchange but also for technology communication, such as the technical seminar, occupational uniform show and disaster on-site rescue showcase etc. The 4th China International Occupational Safety Forum, with the key figures of International Labor Organization, central government, famous companies, and scientific research units as the lecturers, attracted over 400 industry players from more than 33 countries and regions for the discussion of the worldwide concerned occupational safety and health development issues. Meanwhile, fabulous concurrent activities were also unfolded during the event, including experts view on policy; special zones for monitoring and inspection products showcasing, interesting fashion show and occupational safety at night; occupational accidents and natural disasters demonstration, comprehensive showcase of first aid facilities and technologies and occupational uniform live show.
Growing Global Occupational Safety and Health Market
The global occupational safety and health industry is going upward at present, which can be attributed to a variety of reasons. For instance, the companies have paid more attention to the health and safety of the employee in the working environment as well as the understanding of the labor force. Therefore, more and more protective measures have been adopted and the fashionable intelligent clothes become very popular. And together, the all-round economic growth is conducive to the purchase postponed. On the basis of the information and conservative estimate from American Occupational Safety and Health Administration, by 2012, the market in this sector will have kept the annual growth rate of 3%. Meanwhile, between 2007 and 2014, the consumption for personal protection equipments in China will roar by 200%, according to a market report of Frost & Sullivan Company.
The 4th China International Occupational Safety & Health Exhibition (COS+H) was organized by the Sate Administration of Work Safety and the International Labour Organization, and undertaken by the National Center for International Exchange & Cooperation in Work Safety and Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd. Since its foundation in 2002, China International Occupational Safety & Health Exhibition has been held for three times successively. Through the six-year development, this event has grown into an international trade fair with the largest scale, highest level, and leading Professionalism. COS+H 2008 has obtained wide attention and acclaim from the trade players in this field since its very beginning, which has been fully supported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, All China Federation of Trade Unions, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the PRC, as well as the A+A trade fair, American National Security Council. It is the strong support of the associations and organizations from domestic and overseas that creates such a successful event.
The next China International Occupational Safety & Health Exhibition will be launched again in Beijing in Sept. 2010. Let’s expect the marvelous COS+H 2010 alltogether.
