Design Shanghai concluded at the Shanghai Exhibition Center on Sunday. More than 40,000 architects, interior designers and developers took part in the four-day event, which brought chic furniture and interior brands from Europe to China, including Hay, Cole & Son, Boss Design and Fritz Hansen. Artists Qu Guangci, furniture designer John Makepeace and design consultant Roland Boal gave speeches on emerging trends of art and design industries. Design magazine Wallpaper held an exhibition of handicrafts.
