《個人所得稅法修正案（草案）》23日提交十屆全國人大常委會第十七次會議進行首次審議。修改主要涉及兩項內容：將工薪所得減除費用標準從800元提高到1500元；以減輕中低工薪收入者的稅收負擔；要求高收入者自行申報納稅，對其稅收進行交叉稽核。報道如下：
China's top legislature on Tuesday started to deliberate on the draft amendment to the personal
income tax law, a major move that experts see is meant to narrow the
widening gap between the country's rich and poor.
The draft amendment includes lifting the tax collection starting line
from 800 yuan (98.8 US dollars) to 1,500 yuan (185 US dollars) and
forcibly asking high-income groups to file tax returns and pay taxes
themselves.
