The Chinese face at the Parisian ball this year was Eleanor Lam, the daughter of Hong Kong's entertainment tycoon, Peter Lam. The psychology major of Pepperdine University in California was donned in an elegant white haute couture Dior dress at the ball. Her private life as a regular visitor to nightclubs and bars has long been fodder for Hong Kong tabloids.
