In Yingjiang county, Dehong prefecture, stands Yunnan's largest banyan, whose trunk needs dozens of people to embrace it with extending arms.
Forty meters high, with over 100 branches, and 10 new ones growing in every year, the 300-year-old King of Banyans forms a gigantic scenery of "one tree makes a forest".
The Dai people esteem the tree as a God tree and bear deep affection for it. They celebrate holidays under the tree, praying for peace for their family members and livestock.
