Locals can start to pick fruit in addition to orchards from the streets of Mangshi in Dehong prefecture.
The town known as “a city of flower and fruit” has various kinds of subtropical fruits. They include jackfruit, mango, longan and pineapple.
The fruit picking carnival kicked off in July, which enabled urban residents to have an insight on what it is like to be fruit farmers.
Mangshi first held the activity last year, allowing locals to share public fruits.
The fruits will be distributed to the nursing homes and special schools.
