At the end of 1998, the Industrial Economy Department of the State Council's Development and Research Center, along with more than 29 relative departments, established a study group to fully understand recent trends. This group conducted a continuous study of China's industrial development.
This book lays out the research findings from 2011. Since the first report was completed in 1999, there have been nine subsequent versions of this book. The authors have continued to research and formulate opinions. The book is an important reference covering the latest trends in China's industrial development.
In recent years, with the upgrade of industrial structures, strategic new industries have garnered a lot of attention. This annual report created a new section for strategic industries, which contains eight important research findings. To improve traditional industrial research, the group successively built several tracking and prediction models. The findings were published in the report so as to provide more valuable reference information for readers.
