Abstract: The manufacturing industry is the professionalization of human activities of making goods. Its development is driven by the internal growth and continuous transformation demand. Since quality refers to the degree to which the inherent attributes of goods meet required standards, the manufacturing industry needs to meet multi-dimensional, multi-tiered and high-level requirements and seek upgrade for high-quality development. That is, the development of the manufacturing industry is supposed to meet market demands, keep in line with local conditions as well as regulations of the regional industrial development and make progress along with the improvement of market requirements and regulations. The high-quality development strategy of the manufacturing industry is the top-level design guided by the new development philosophy, of which the key is the proactive guidance and promotion of regional entities as well as the strong support and participation of relevant departments. To promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry effectively, it is suggested that related departments need to formulate and implement plans for the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, improve the level of the industrial chain through building, enhancing, supplementing and extending supply chains and strengthen the industrial ecosystem and enhance the connectivity and creativity of regional manufacturing industries. Efforts are also needed to introduce plans for promoting high-quality development of manufacturing enterprises, modernize the high-quality governance system and capacity of the manufacturing industry and launch pilot and showcase projects of high-quality manufacturing industries.
