A large-scale square dance competition will be staged in Fuzhou in November.

Candidates who passed the first round of auditions will have a showdown on Nov 15 and 16.

The competition is to provide a public platform for avid square dancers of all ages to showcase themselves and promote a healthy lifestyle and fitness, according to the organizers.

More than 200 square dance teams have signed up for the competition. The application period ends on Nov 6.
