The application entry for Fujian province’s spring civil servant recruitment exam will end at 22:00 on April 26. A total of 8,432 applicants have already signed up for positions in Xiamen, according to the local authority.

This year, the Xiamen civic government will have 118 jobs open for application, with 76 positions provided by Communist Party branches.

Among the 8,432 job hunters that have so far signed up, 6,105 have passed the verification process, 1,040 candidates’ files have yet to be verified, while 1,287 have been considered unqualified.

According to the local authority, most positions have been so well received that hundreds of candidates have to compete for a single position. However, in contrast, some vacancies in rural areas have received no applicants.
