A large offshore platform for a cross-sea railroad bridge between Pingtan and Changle counties is being built in Pingtan, Fujian province, Oct 11. The multifunctional platform, which takes 59,400 square meters, will be capable of accommodating about 500 workers. The 16.5-km bridge costing 24 billion yuan is slated to be completed in 2019.
