New development in Pingnan tourism

Now that autumn is arriving, the weather in Pingnan has begun to cool down and so has the tourist fever of Baishuiyang, even though it was still a bit lively in early September, it is nothing like summer vacation and the National Day holiday will the last tourist feast. Then, as the weather gets colder, not many people will be going there.

In fact, Baishuiyang, where people can play in water to cool off in summer, is not the only tourism attraction of Pingnan. In addition, there are the mountains in Yuanyangxi, as well as the old town, villages, and bridges and, even when it gets cooler they can enjoy the water scenery of Baishuiyang.

To attract more people during the low season, Pingnan has put more than 10 million yuan ($1.6 million) into advertising its less famous scenic spots - Yuanyangxi, for example, and the Xianshan Pine Forest, and it is cooperating with the Fujian Brand Trade Center. There are also more routes available, such as one-, two-, or three-day trips in autumn and winter that are new. In the January - August period of this year Yuanyuangxi had 368,700 visitors, an increase that was 1.9 percentage points above that of Baishuiyang.
