Ningde: sights to freeze prices

The China National Tourism Administration (CNTA)?recently published a list of "tourist sites with reliable prices" on its website on May 25.

It contains 1,801 tourist sites, 14 of which are from Ningde, on the northeastern coast of Fujian provincee, including the Baishuiyang Scenic Resort in Pingnan county.

To be on the list, scenic spots have to meet six requirements: use a single price, offer discounts to special groups, offer advance booking, publish price components, abstain from price fraud and freeze prices for three years.

The 1,801 scenic spots from 30 provinces and cities have signed the agreement to become the first batch. One third of them are at national 4A level or above.

Tourism authorities will regularly review the list to remove those no longer meeting the requirements.

CNTA said they will keep promoting the program and update the list ahead of summer vacation and the National Day holiday.
