The winding coastal line of Pingtan Island, Fujian province, stretches for 408 kilometers, including 100 km covered by a sandy beach.

There are three main beaches located in the north, east and south of Pingtan Island – Changjiang'ao Bay, Haitan Bay and Tannan Bay. Boasting fine sands and limpid seawaters, the beaches meet the requirements for a coastal tourism beach. The beaches are interconnected at a large span with lush shelter forest belts and island reefs.
