Two gas stations near a highway entrance in Pingtan county, Southeast China's Fujian province, are back in business, the Pingtan Times reported on Tuesday.

The Landao gas station and Zhongxin gas station on Wanbao Road were previously closed due to road construction. Since these are the only two gas stations near the highway leading out of the county, the closure caused problems for some car owners used to filling up there.

In response, the construction company built a makeshift passage by backfilling some earth on Monday to facilitate drivers in need. But, the company also suggests large and heavy vehicles fill up in advance in the county.
