A young Chinese kite rider won the championship for her group in the Pingtan leg of the Kiteboard Tour Asia (KTA) that concluded on Monday.

Chen Jingyue, 12, finished first in women's course racing after three days of competition. With 99 champion points, she was also crowned the final champion of the entire KTA season.

Deng Xiaocheng, another Chinese kite surfer, won fourth place in men's course racing, ranking third for the season.
