A total of 20 counties, including Pingtan of Fujian province, have been honored by the provincial government for their work to promote and maintain a safe and secure environment in 2012, the government's official website reported on Nov 6.

Pingtan has in recent years made great efforts to maintain social order and has also focused on the field of innovation of social management, said the website.
