Pingtan's environmental protection authority has launched a campaign against polluters, local news portal ptnet.cn reported on March 30.

All bodies discharging pollutants will be subject to scrutiny until December, according to an employee of the environment and land resources bureau.

Those enterprises found to lack adequate environmental efforts will be given a grace period to make rectification.
