The infrastructure construction of Tannan Bay in Pingtan, Fujian province was selected as the country's top tourism projects, according to a list released by the China National Tourism Administration recently.

This honor will help the project gain more support in finance and preferential policies. For instance, the National Tourism Administration will work with banks to help the project raise money, and the tourism development fund will give it related support.

The Pingtan project includes the renovation of road at Tannan Bay scenic spots, and the establishment of supporting facilities such as parking lots and public toilets.

In addition to the Tannan Bay project, three other projects in Pingtan has received recognition as the country's top tourism projects before, which were the Haitan Ancient City, the Beautiful Countryside Tourism and the Beauty Crown Haixia International Tourism Town.
