Pingtan Association of Taiwan-funded Enterprises has played an important role in developing Pingtan into a Common Homeland for people across the Straits.
Nearly 700 village heads from both sides of the Taiwan Straits gathered in Pingtan of Fujian Province on June 13.
Some 10 enterprises from Pingtan, Fujian province displayed their latest technology and products at the 14th China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair, held in Fuzhou on June 18-21.
Guests of the fifth Common Homeland Forum visited some scenic spots and key investment projects in Pingtan, Fujian province, on June 14.
"The forum gave me more faith in Pingtan's future development", said Zhu Yiliang, secretary general of the Pingtan Association of Taiwan, after attending the 5th Common Homeland Forum held in Pingtan on June 13.
The Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian province hosted a friendship activity for families across the Taiwan Straits on June 13 and 14.
A roundtable conversation about developing Pingtan into an international tourism destination was held in Pingtan, Fujian province on June 13 during the 5th Common Homeland Forum.
The Cross-Straits Taekwondo Contest opened in Pingtan, Fujian province on June 13.
