Agriculture trade fair concludes with good harvests

The first Zhanjiang-ASEAN Agriculture Trade Fair ended on June 5, having attracted 180,000 visitors and 2.57 billion yuan ($392 million) in investment, local officials announced on June 6.
An international-level event promoting agricultural economy and trade, the four-day fair attracted 867 enterprises from 23 countries and regions, 237 of which were from outside China.
More than 4,000 famous and new agricultural products from 38 domestic listed or agriculture leading enterprises in 28 provinces and autonomous regions were highlighted at the event.
On-site sales revenue reached 62 million yuan, of which 36 million yuan were contributed by e-commerce businesses. They also brought in a staggering number of agreements worth 15 million yuan.
Ten special forums and more than 30 promotional conferences were held during the event. Experts said that the fair was the largest and highest-level international agriculture event in Zhanjiang, and produced the most economic and trade activities.
