The city of Anshun, in Guizhou province, set up a course to train people in the batik and embroidery methods of its Miao ethnic group in the Xixiu district, March 20-30.

Some specialists in batik and embroidery will help several dozen of?ethnic Miao women learn the methods during the 10-day course,as one course?organizer explaining, "We want to help develop the local embroidery and batik business and hopefully teach more about the local culture and heritage through the course."
