The city of Xingyi, in Guizhou province says that it will be hosting the 1st International Mountain Tourism Conference in October, with the organizers explaining that it will publicize international and mountain tourism destinations, and eco tourism models.
The announcement came at a news conference in Beijing on Sept 24, where Zhang Lizhong, head of foreign affairs for the National Tourism Administration, who added that they and Guizhou will sponsor the tourism conference to promote international cooperation and that more than 600 people have confirmed their attendance.
The event will also have five distinguished guests who will address the gathering and a Guizhou tourism big data index and a Guizhou declaration, with some other events, such as a tourism culture promotion and smart tourism exhibition that will last until November.
