Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province, launched a plan to beautify 60 scenic villages at a conference on March 16.
The project will boost the rural economy and bring many benefits to villagers. The villages involved were carefully selected by their locations. Those near traffic arteries, scenic spots, agricultural demonstration zones, model small towns and industrial parks were given the chance for major improvements.
Mass infrastructure construction will be conducted in selected villages to improve various aspects of lifestyle, including education, medical treatment, transport and pensions.
Every village will be required to develop at least one strong industry. Moreover, qualified villages shall be equipped with e-commerce service stations.
